Week Seven

Week seven was great! The children are getting the hang of our routines and procedures. They are doing super with center rotation. We have started small group time and we are beginning to learn how to "read". They are learning to track print from left to right and where to begin reading the page. We have also started to decode and blend sounds. This is the beginning of the reading process. They are doing great and many are recognizing the sight words we have practiced in class. The words are I, am, the, a, little, & to.

We learned about the number five and had a great time singing and acting out the song "Five Green and Speckled Frogs"!
